Charles McLaughlin is a business and military leader, advisor, and strategist. His current areas of research and business focus include the implications of digital technology innovation on society and the intersection of business/finance and geopolitics. He was recently a senior executive at Bridgewater Associates and was previously a management consultant at Accenture, McKinsey, and Innosight (an innovation boutique founded by Clayton Christensen). As a consultant, Charles helped companies convert new thinking about strategy, operations, and technology to drive value creation. Prior to his business career, Charles was a US Army Special Forces officer where he gained experience in humanitarian and wartime operations on three continents. He is currently a colonel in the Army Reserve and taught in West Point’s Department of Social Sciences, advised Army leaders on innovation strategy, and provided strategic advice in the Pentagon.
